As a food reviewer, I had the pleasure of sampling the Mashed Potato Omelet, a unique twist on a classic dish that left me craving more. The combination of bacon, cheddar cheese, and sour cream is a symphony of flavors that harmonize beautifully.

Overall, my experience at Breakfast Republic was nothing short of delightful. From the delectable dishes to the inviting ambiance, this restaurant has earned its reputation as a must-visit destination for breakfast and brunch lovers alike.
We came into town for a wedding that was held at liberty station, and saw this cute restaurant. We decided to give it a try since it had outside heating and boy were we pleased! From our waiter Grant, who is extremely friendly, fun, attentive, and helpful to the delicious meals we had that were prepared fresh and hot! My cold brew was very tasty and I love that the ice cubes are made of coffee. They do have merchandise for purchase so of course we walked away with a coffee mug because it was too hard to pass up. There's plenty of parking, but you may need to park a little distance on the weekend. It is located at old Navy base which holds a lot of history and his kept its integrity of Barricks. Plenty of walking around to do with doors, restaurants, and lots to see. I highly recommend checking them out if you happen to be in the San Diego area.
It's my first time here my bff took me here today. This morning. The food was so so good omg!! Friendly staff also great environment I order the steak breakfast and the ube latte
Yesterday morning I experience the hospitality and morning enjoyment provided by Breakfast Republic in San Diego's Liberty Station area. Another of the dining facilities housed in building that once housed, fed, and provided training for young men and women in the United States Navy. Celebrating a retirement of a fellow co-worker, the team met at Breakfast Republic dine together one last time, and present a gift prior to returning to the office for the day's activities. The food was very delicious and I was very pleased with the huge selection of breakfast and brunch entrees available. Omelets, pancakes, waffles, shrimp n grits, traditional eggs & meats, and various in-house specials. I selected one of the omelet specials with house potatoes, wheat toast and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Great choice! The atmosphere of the establishment is calm, yet refreshing and perfect for beginning a day! Customer service is excellent, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Be aware that it's a very popular place and they don't accept reservations. Highly recommend.
Great place in the Liberty Station area. Love all the different types of businesses in this area. I had the Shrimp and Grits, and my son had the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes. The staff was very accommodating when I asked if the hot sauce that came with the shrimp could be left off, and they did! The combination of the cheesy grits with the lightly fried shrimp and crunchy roasted corn gave it some pretty awesome texture. My son said the pineapple Upsidedown Pancakes were very tasty, and not only had pineapples on top, but also within the batter. We will definitely go ahead!
Love the location in Liberty Station. Food was great, and Grant was an amazing server!
Great service and amazing dishes. Grant really made our experience there special. I recommend this place to visit and enjoy great food.
I love going to Liberty Station and stop here for a quick breakfast. Sit at the bar, nice coffee and great atmosphere. Shout out to the server/bartender Tânia. She is amazing, she is fast, always smiling and definitely patient with my orders, since I always do special requests. Can't wait till next time.
We arrived in San Diego at 8 am and had been up since 2:30 our time, so were hungry for a bite to eat. We had eaten here once before, so came back. My husband and I both got the shrimp and ricotta fritata and a latte. Our only regret is not getting just one and splitting it! The portions were large! It was so delicious, we hated not eating it all, but there was no way. The home fries were perfect (so often are mushy or over cooked), the sourdough English muffin was perfection, and of course, the fritata was delightful. The latte was great too (wish I had gotten larger one). The server was friendly, and the outdoor table was very nice. We will return!
Fantastic breakfast!!! While it's hard to mess up breakfast, they do a GREAT job of menu items that are just a little different than the usual. I had a Jambalaya breakfast which was a typical Cajun meal with an egg. I also had an ube latte which was delicious. I do wish there was more coffee than ube flavor, but still good. It gets very crowded on weekends, so good luck. We went on a Tuesday morning and it was no problem. Wait staff was very friendly. Nice outdoor air seating.
